Grand Plié a la Seconde—Pas de Bourreé—Glissade—Jeté—Assemblé

*Grand Plié a la Seconde is the founding step, the beginning. The opening act of a shopper’s plan is the store, the retailer, and the sales within.

*Pas de Bourreé are the steps between; clipping the coupons, watching the blogs, matching the ads.

*Glissade is the prep. Making a list and organizing a plan creates a graceful interlude for the main event.

*Jeté, the flying leap; the actual shopping trip.

*Assemblé, where everything comes together.

The finale takes place at center stage with the register, the sale, the coupons,

and the shopper taking a final bow. Let us dance our way to savings!

    "I'm not saving!"

I have heard that phrase a lot recently.
    "I'm not saving!"
"This is ridcules, all I do is throw away expired coupon!"
    "Couponing is not worth it!"
Most of these people go to the store get whatever they want and then look at the coupons in their clutch after they are already in line. They sigh and say I have no coupons; or they find a bunch of expired ones; or one of the above phrases.

You see, there are certain keys points of couponing to get the best deals.

First and formost, MAKE A LIST! Look through the sales ad, your coupons, and what you would nomally buy. Sometimes you will find things that are on sale AND you have a coupon for it, but it is a different brand than you would normally get. Try the new brand for a super low price, if you like it go back and stock up!

    Example:: I normally buy... ,
    but
is on sale for BOGOfree @ $2.58, plus I have a coupon for $1 off 2!
So you can pay $2.99 per box for NY Texas Toast or you can get 2 boxes for $1.58($.79 per box) of the Pepperidge Farm Texas Toast.

Number Two, sometimes MORE IS LESS. Less out of pocket that is! There are many place to find coupons for $5 off $30 and similar ones: in-store, Catalina's, the mail, and online. Your total today is $27.89; I have seen a few people tear up the coupon and throw it away O-o. There is no need for that! Just grab 2 candy bars and you'll have a little snack plus some extra savings!

For Southeastern Floridian(miami&broward county) Publix Shoppers 'Doris Italian Market' is a Competitor for many stores, so go to greatdealsinmycity.com scroll down and find 'Doris' The have 3 coupons, but only 2 you can use at Publix.
I personally use the $2 off $25 nearly every week. Before I start couponing I spent anywhere from $17 to $40 dollars a week, now my average is $25(before coupons) because now I have plenty of food at home it's just a fair few thing I need to get. Once I got some cat treats because I had coupons that made them free, and gave those to a friend, while I enjoyed an extra $2 off my bill...

On average I spend $12 a week at Publix. Keep in mind I'm a single lady, and I buy an average of 4 newpapers every Sunday!

So those are the two tips for the day... Now I'm off to work!
    HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Misleading Ads for Sun Sentinel Coupons

Most people in SoFLA know, The Sun Sentinel has the best coupons in it. For some reason Miami Herald only carries RedPlum and as great as the RP coupons are, they do not compare to the price, in my opinion. The Sun Sentinel Always has Red Plum and SmartSource(and P&G when it's suppose to be), If they missed a RP there is usually an extra SS therefore you do not feel left out...

I did feel left out though... Yesterday... The Paper and the stores that sell the paper have signs Advertising "Coupons in Saturdays Paper starting Oct. 15!!" Come yesterday and there was no coupons... Everyone asks why? Where are they? I thought the Coupons were supposed to be in it, isn't it?!?! I was not the only person who left the store utterly disappointed. (This is the type of thing that has made me stop couponing in the past)... I read the sign many times before I finally understood. In not so many words and TOTALLY beating around the bush, they said you had to be a subscriber to get the coupons earlier.

I went home upset and determined. I decided to see how much a subscription was and was shocked that for a 13week subscription it was nearly $4 more than the store(if you buy Sunday's paper they have a deal for 80cents an issue for weekend subscribers, this still leads to about a $1.50 more then inside the store). Why? Because you are buying Saturday and Sunday's papers. I already feel horrible with how much paper I use for buying the WHOLE newpaper just to get the coupons, so why would I want to spend more and make more waste just to have the convenince of the coupons coming to my house early? I think I'll stick with my Sunday in-store papers with coupons...

Sorry this was a bit of a vent and to let you know what the deal is with Coupons in the SunSentinel.

    Dove Deodorant Deal

Here's a TIP! If you decide you want to start using coupons from the Newspaper(many people just start with online and instore Qs first then the newspaper), don't buy just one paper... Buy Two. Why? Because say there was a coupon for $1 off an item you use ALL the time, and that item goes on sale for BOGOfree. Sure you can just use you one coupon and get a good deal, but many stores allow you to use one coupon per item, whether it's on sale or not. So if you had two $1 off Qs for a BOGOfree deal it would be a GREAT DEAL!

I personally buy 4 newspapers every week, and here is where it pays off. Here is an example:

    This Week(10/6-10/12)

    Dove Deodorant is BOGOfree.
I have 4 Dove Deodorant Coupons from 10/2 RP for $.75 off each one.
Combine the above with the Green Advantage Flyer $3 off any 3 Unilever Product listed(Dove Deodorant included!)
And all you have to do is pay TAX!

    NOW THAT IS A DEAL!!

    Listerine for Free

This little guy is rumored to be about a $1.72 @ Walmart and with this new HOT Coupon $2 off ANY Listerine Total Care Zero Mouthwash it is a MM!! Free + $.28 overage!

    Watch the Savings!!

**Although, please keep in mind Shelf Clearing and mis-using coupons is unmoral, unethical, and unfair to other couponers**
Remember Reality TV is not always real! The stores are ready for this massive haul, and real couponers don't do these kinds of haul every week. TLC asks them to do the biggest haul they can possibly do for the show.

Tips on Couponing and Where to Find Them

#1. Set up a coupon email account. If you have a yahoo account for your original email account, go to Gmail and make the coupon account. This way you can stay logged-in all the time and check it regularly. You will get a lot of spam and junk, along with plenty of good deals. All these emails will clog you original account and you may not find the email from aunt sophie, or you might delete it by accident. So A separate account is very good!

#2. Start small. Stick to one store, learn it inside and out, then move on to another store and get really comfortable with that and so on... If you take on too much you could get overwhelmed, which is the number 2 reason people stop couponing. Number one is laziness, lol.

#3. Join a blog/site. You can press the follow button now! LOL :P ... My blog will continue to give tips, recent sale, must haves, and freebies, but not all of them. Your best bet is my #1 Fav coupon site, hosted by Mr. Coupon himself! http://www.weusecoupons.com/

#4. Learn when to hold coupons or fold them. I used to throw away 90% of my coupon because I would never use them because I thought I couldn't without spending more money than I had. Now I keep 90% of my coupons because two weeks after I've had them, there might be a sale that makes those unreachable items FREE! By getting some vicks cough drops free plus overage I was able to get some plug in airfresheners for pennies on the dollar!! Fold your coupons when they expire or you know without a doubt you will not use them. I don't have kids, and I don't have cats, so should I ever buy cat food or diapers? NO!!

#5. Know where to find coupons. Well, you can't use them if you don't know where to find them! :) so here's a list...
    Sunday Newspapers
    All You mag(found@walmart)
    In-Stores(flyers,blinkies,peelies,tearpads)
    And Online! @ :
#6. Sign up for Newsletters. It may mean a lot of spam, but some awesome coupons come too!
    Lastly because I'm too tired!
#7. Tell companies you love or hate their products. They want feed back! And they want you to buy their products, so they'll more than likely send you coupons!
Ok, I'm done... goodnight all... or is it good morning?... *snores*
