Grand Plié a la Seconde—Pas de Bourreé—Glissade—Jeté—Assemblé

*Grand Plié a la Seconde is the founding step, the beginning. The opening act of a shopper’s plan is the store, the retailer, and the sales within.

*Pas de Bourreé are the steps between; clipping the coupons, watching the blogs, matching the ads.

*Glissade is the prep. Making a list and organizing a plan creates a graceful interlude for the main event.

*Jeté, the flying leap; the actual shopping trip.

*Assemblé, where everything comes together.

The finale takes place at center stage with the register, the sale, the coupons,

and the shopper taking a final bow. Let us dance our way to savings!

About Me

Hello Everyone,
I prefer to go by DC Portal in the blogger/professional world, but you can call me Danny. Not only do I coupon, but I am also a part-time student and work 30+hours a week. Hopefully you understand when my posts and updates become delayed; I apologize for that in advance, but education is important. I'm a writer at heart and I hope you will one day see DC Portal on the bookshelves! Until then, you can see it on here by checking weekly, if only because the coupon preview for the upcoming Sunday is up! ;)
Couponing began for me about five years ago, when I started working at my local Publix. Can you guess why most of the deals I post are for Publix? LOL! It was an off and on relationship with coupons. I'd start using them because I desperately need toothpaste, and I'd get a few other deals. Eventually though, I'd lose my coupons somewhere and I think, "Hey, I've got enough toothpaste for the year. I don't need the coupons anymore!" And so I stop and about the same time of year I run out of toothpaste and start couponing again. With the recent popularity of couponing due to TLC's 'Extreme Couponing' I noticed several things that could help me sustain couponing longer.
In the last eight months, I've saved well over $2,000 and purchased things I never could afford before. I've also donated $400 worth of food and H&B products, and over $13,000 in coupons to our military families overseas! How Awesome is That!?!?!?
You can do it too! Check out my Donations with Coupons page for more info. Any questions? leave a message under any post, on my FaceBook page, or E-Mail me at!

Beyond coupons, I'm a Writer, Reader, Singer, Dancer. I've always been a person who wants to do things for others. Whether it's for your entertainment, to give some critique, or to save a little money, it helps you. Hopefully puts a smile on your face, and that makes my life complete!
